The ethanol industry is growing so fast, I think it's hard to set the bar too high.

The House plan doesn't have any accountability and has a lower standard. I don't think it's very aggressive at all.

The House renewable fuels bill is a good start.

Generally speaking, the proposals fall into three categories.

After two or three years of 20 to 30 percent returns to think that Wall Street or international capital or even domestic entrepreneurs are not going to get in on that I think is unreasonable. Any ethanol plant is good for rural Iowa.

You can't just pour it in - it needs to be done at blending facility.

You're looking at basically doubling the production amounts, but the impact on Archer Daniels Midland depends on whether they increase their production capacity.

We think the schedule could have been a little more aggressive, but we realize we have to compromise a little bit on this. The key thing is accountability. We didn't want some goal thrown up for window dressing. We wanted a schedule that is attainable and aggressive.

Will people switch away from E10? I have no doubt that some will.
